The following decisions have been made to improve dismissal for the safety of the entire SJA community. Please note that this decision was made with the input of the Hillsdale Police Department.
AS of Tuesday, September 18, 2018:
1. 7-8 grade students will be dismissed by the flagpole exit at 2:15. Parents who have only 7-8 students can park in the front lot facing Hillsdale Avenue. Any 7-8 student who has a younger sibling will walk around the building to meet younger siblings at the back lot. Any students walking to town/library will safely exit along a designated area to the sidewalk.
2. 3-6 grade students will be dismissed by the dumpster exit at 2:15 and will line up in marked areas behind the cones with their teacher. Parents should come to the line behind the cones and get their child(ren) there.
3. k-2 grade students will be dismissed by the playground entrance at 2:12 pm and will line up in marked areas behind the cones with their teacher. Parents should come to the line marked by their child's grade and get their child(ren) there.
4. prek3-4 students will be dismissed from the classroom door at 2:12 pm.
5. Bus students will be dismissed at 2:15 with the bus moderator, Mrs. Mastrangelo who will facilitate students getting on their bus along Orchard Street.
